More than a band - a nationwide support network striking a chord for the cure with music that moves and a mission that matters.
Established in Wellington in 2018, Bras and Brass was born from a love of music and a commitment to each other. What started as a single gathering has grown into a nationwide movement.
As a newly incorporated Charitable Trust (2024), the Bras and Brass Foundation is dedicated to:
Raising Awareness: Educating our members and audiences about breast cancer.
Research Support: Funding the Breast Cancer Foundation of New Zealand.
Player Support: Standing by our own musicians walking the path of diagnosis and recovery.
Fellowship: Proving that you can’t keep a good woman down.
We use our platform to spread vital breast cancer awareness among our 100+ members and audiences across New Zealand.
From early detection to "Knowing Your B.R.A.S," we hit every note for health.
Every concert is a fundraiser. We proudly support the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, contributing directly to world-class research and life-saving clinical trials.
We are entirely self-funded and rely on the energy of our volunteers. Our players even pay their own travel costs to rehearse and perform, ensuring your donations go further.
Each gathering is like a family reunion. We celebrate our "founding members" and those who have "fought the good fight" with music, laughter, and unbreakable support.
Help us visit different parts of the country. Join our loyal supporters like Sshmutes and Brass Direct in making our mission possible.
